I'm having problems with Control:Mac in MacOS Mojave. I can't play music and the app freezes. Anyone else experiencing problems?

No problems here with MacOS Mojave and Control Mac. I hope Meridian adds a 64bit update for Control Mac soon, or a new version which is compatible with the next MacOS next year.

Yes my control app also keeps freezing since downloading Mojave. It means I have to keep closing it down & reopening. If I'm quick I can do what's needed but it's annoying & not working right so any advice is very much appreciated guys.

A practical option is to partition your hard drive and install an older OS on it to run Control:Mac.

My Mac can go all the way to XI - Mac user since 1988.

Really? Surely it is for Meridian to update Control:PC / Control:Mac to run on the latest OS versions be it Windows or Mac, the same with Sooloos on QNAP.

While they're at it, they could update the iPhone app to support the iPhone XS Max screen.

Cheers

Realistically, in the absence of Meridian getting their act together (plus Sooloos on QTS4.4), partitioning your Mac HDD is your only current option for running Control:Mac.

I fear it is the slowly end of Control:Mac. In future we have to use Roon with the yearly membership. Meridian only want to sell their Zone Controller and other devices.

You can buy a Roon Lifetime just now...

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 218 zone... (Thanks Russ) Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2 and Mini. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos.
My F80 is in repair...

Or more accurately...

Roon client download £0 (Same UI on iPad, Mac, PC)

Control:PC/Control:Mac £0 (Unique interface, imho not the best!)

Comparing Roon licence costs with Sooloos used to be irrelevant as the Sooloos licence cost was built in to the hardware cost. Now using QNAP Sooloos is effectively free, people can draw their own conclusions on what this means regarding the ongoing development and future of Sooloos, when was the last significant update?

IIRC M stated re Sooloos "Exciting Times Ahead". You are right Ratbert nothing significant.

I still get excited when the Green Envelope flashes on the C15, but it always turns out to be a Tidal Playback Failure Advice.

I would very much appreciate a response from Meridian especially on the 64 bit app issue, surely not too much to ask, for 30 years plus of loyalty to the brand. I think clarity on this point is the least they can do, as this costs nothing. Yes or No will suffice.

We are the little fish in the pond these days but deserve IMHO, better support and open communications.
