Great to know there is someone there who can keep our kit running. It also makes it much easier to recommend used kit to others and I hope you are hugely successful smile

Cheers guys for the support.

We don't work weekends as this is our family time but we will get back to you during normal working hours.

We have some items for sale also and will list these on our website when we get time during the week.

Thanks
Edd

Apologies, Most of the G95 parts are now unavailable or we cannot trust.

So sorry if we gave false hope we didn't mean too.

Thanks

I think a list of those Meridian items that cannot be repaired would be extremely useful.

Very glad to find out about MrTechGuy. Been in touch via the website and my 506 CD Player is already boxed and ready for despatch tomorrow.

I can understand that for some, it may seem a little odd to keep going with old/classic hifi but there's some sentimental attachment plus our house move means for the first time I've got somewhere to use the whole system laid out in the classic "either side of the fireplace" config. It's good to, at long last, hear it working as intended (did I mention it was our first detached house so the guilt factor is way down smile ).

BTW, the A500 speakers are really rather good. Now everything is properly laid out, I can hear detail in some of my favourite CDs and LPs that I've not heard before.

Getting all this hooked up to local FLAC store and streaming is a work-in-progress. Once the 506 CD is back. need to see if the 504 is needed for the FM or if radio via Freeview is practical as I've run out of inputs on the 551!

Had it not been for the advice and links here, would have had to give up a while back so thanks, Meridian Unplugged.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike.

Great to hear that your beloved 500 kit is still giving a lot of pleasure. I get the bit about sentimental attachment to the old 500 stuff; there is something very elegant & completely timeless about the styling of them; real design classics. You should be able to pick up a 501 for not much money that would give you more inputs. I think that would be the way to go (but open to correction).
