Hi all

I have a 568 and I suspect it may have been upgraded by the factory to 568.2.

It has a sticker on the bottom from Meridian Technical Support and signed by D. Ford but no date.

It may just indicate that the unit was repaired etc but how can I confirm it's version?

Many thanks to all.

Jon

In standby, push the display button, it will tell you the firmware.

1.5 is the highest the 568 goes.

Hi

Thanks, just did your suggestion and the display reads 1.55.

Does this mean it is a 568.2?

Thanks again

Jon

Sorry, I was working from memory, 1.55 means it’s an up to date 568.1.

Another way to tell is that the 568.1 can’t do high res on all the audio outputsat the same time; either 96k on the front three only, or 48k on five or more outputs.

ATVB,

Steve

If you want to it can still be upgraded to .2 spec. The Meridian legacy website sells the CD DSP board for £175 and it replaces the lower Z4 DSP board. You would need to fit yourself though.
