Make sure it is the correct board. Different EQ for Vertical boards than HC boards. Also slight differences between DIN and SL boards.

Also re-capping the board would not fix that problem. You really need a replacement board. What is damaged cannot be accessed to repair for less than the cost of a new board.

Sam, I recently had my vintage Swallows re-capped at George Meyer.
The speakers now sound very smooth but it's early days. Meyer claim lots of experience with Meridan gear.
Like yours, mine took several weeks due to backlog, I was told.
Have to wish you good luck, and me, too when these Swallows take over from soon to be picked up 8ks.

Received @Jeje’s board and had George Meyer swap it out. Sounding good! I ended up paying for the recapping of my old board plus the replacement. Live and learn. Thanks Jerome!

Glad to hear it all worked out. As I have a 5200HC, would be curious to know what was the cause of the static.

If I were a betting man, I would guess that the static was cause by my DSP5200HC was too close to the fireplace. Something got melted. We're no longer running the fireplace unless the speaker is moved farther away.
