Thanks for the replies - i’d Read and looked on the back of lots of the images and it said 100-240v but then read somewhere about changing the fuse. I’d never heard of that before so figured it was nonsense.

I guess I should wait & see what cables arrive & then order some. What XLR / balanced cables are recommended? The Mark Grant stuff looks reasonable & apparently is very good.

I can try to borrow a Windows computer, or have a go with boot camp - never messed about with it before. Is it vital for the setting up? From what I’ve read it is, but was wondering whether it could be manually input on the G68?

Thank you for all the advice, really appreciated!

Nick

Easier to configure from the ‘Windows only’ mad config program, boot camp is pretty easy to do and you can delete it afterwards and go back to how it was.

Always learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.

Cool, will give it a go and see.

How would I connect a Rel T9 sub to the G55 / G68?

If you have a stereo amp, REL recommend to tie the high level input, (Came with the SW), into the amp for overall bass. G68 has a subwoofer out. Connect that to the SW LFE connection for movies. (You'll set this up when using the config program). If you have mono amps, grab another T9 and tie one onto each amp.

Where’s the SW LFE output? I can see a balanced output for the sub but not sure how I’d connect that? I can do the speaker connection way but again as it’s balanced outputs how do you do that? Sorry....

REL T series SW's have a low level (RCA connection) and high level (REL proprietary connection) inputs.

The G68 has an RCA (Analogue) SW output that will go to the low level input on the REL.

If you have an analogue stereo power amp, connect the amps outputs to your speaker cable and the high level input on the REL as per below REL Series Ti Manual.

Ah ha, I've just realised I was being silly as the sub is already connected through the speaker cables to the sub so that's fine. I just can't see the RCA sub output on the G68 XXV. I think I must have missed it though or it's named something different to my expectations. I guess I should just wait for the things to arrive lol..... just too excited!!

XXV only has balanced XLR outputs, so no RCA analogue outputs.

If your sub only has RCA for low level inputs, you will either need a cable made up or use a transformer converter (Rane or Neutrik are ones that come to mind).

All the best,

Steve

Thanks Steve, presumably it’s possible to run the sub with no RCA connection & it’ll still be fine?

It will be fine. You should have a lead that connects to the L/R outputs of your G55 to the sub high level input?

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

Yes, that’s already connected, does the RCA not need to be plugged in? Will it make any difference if it isn’t?

You only need one input; either line level from the G68, or high level from the 'speaker(s).

I actually prefer taking it from the main channels and running them as large; I use split XLRs to feed active main 'speakers and a DSP crossover from the same output.

I tried using the separate Subwoofer XLRs with the main 'speakers set to small, it wasn't as good.

All the best,

Steve.
