I need some help please with my system as follows:

G68ADV
DSP7000
DSP5000
Oppo 205

561 Controller

My Primary system stopped working. I believe it to be the G68 power supply. While I am have the G68 repaired, I have tried to setup the system with an old 561. I have realized that the 561 uses the legacy program and the 7000s uses the newer program. I do not seem to be able to marry the two setups. Is it possible to configure a 561 and the 7000s.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help, John

PS - the more information the better. Thanks again

I believe you can set up the 561 from the front panel using the user guide not sure what you need to set on the DSP7000’s?

Always learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.

The 7000's should need no changes. You will need to set up the 561 accordingly as mentioned above.
From your equipment list you need to type the 561 as: 3 0 DDD or 3 0 DDA the last character doesn't matter in your case.

Hi John

As Bruce mentioned the 7000s will need no changes, and none of the DSPs use a set up program anyway... They are all configured by MSR(+) via the front panel display.

Don't know how you have the Oppo connected to the G68 (multi channel analogue input?) but you will need either a single SPDIF digital cable from the player to the 561 for DD and DTS decoding (old vanilla flavour, not the full Bluray codecs) or an analogue stereo pair if that's your preference.

Cheers
George
