Not sure if this is the place but I have just added an ifI power supply to my MS 200 and it is sounding lovely. 12volt 1.8 amp positive Center pin. £50 well spent I think.

Chris 😎

I was surprised at how much the iFi PSU smoothed things up with a Raspberry pi and Explorer 2.

No Darling, I've had it months!

Does that make you wonder about power supplies inside the DSPs?

Well I always use a power conditioner anyway.

The iFi cleans up the power coming in.

I just ran a cheap Furman Compact Power.

I first came across this on a Cinepro amp that used to have hum, quite bad at certain times of the day, tried one of these and it stopped it completely, but better than that the whole thing just sounded 'nicer'.
Maybe the lower noise floor? Not sure, but it sounded better.

So carried on using it with other kit too.

Did you get a cable to convert the plug to USB for the rPi? Or, did the ifi come with one?

Things do sound nicer to me. I am listening to BBC Radio 4 extra The Mark Steel Solution Just now and the sound stage is so much more three dimensional.
With music it seems more detailed and space in the soundstage. Not sure if I am articulating very well.

IFi comes with all the adapter options you could need.

Thanks Gizze

When I looked at this this it didn't seem to have the Micro USB which I think my rPi's need?

I didn’t get a micro USB with mine. Perhaps the 5 volt version has one?

I think I read that they added it on later versions.

I definitely got one with mine, the 5v version.

I've just sent the question to confirm. Hopefully you are right that it is part of the current pack.

It wouldn’t be appropriate in a 12 volt unit I think.
