Anyone got MQA to a Prime using Roon ROCK?

Is it possible?

Many thanks,

Richard

I regularly use Roon (though not via a ROCK) to a Prime with MQA content. I don't think using a ROCK would be any different than any other Roon core device. It should work perfectly.

If it's any help, I've got ROCK feeding MQA from Tidal to an Explorer 2 via USB and a 218 via Network.

If I may add to Richard's question...

And the Prime and/or Explorer/Explorer 2 is plugged via USB into the box running ROCK.

And another. Size wise, how does a NUC compare in physical size vs a Prime?

Yes, ROCK is running on an Intel NUC 5i5RYH, with Explorer 2 directly connected by USB. I then have the E2 analogue out connected to my Arcam AVR550. The NUC is about 4" square and a couple of inches high.

Just a note of thanks - ROCK works well with Prime; no driver problems, no complicated start-up. I also think it is far superior to using a Windows set-up, and even think the Orange/Front USB socket is better too.

I am experimenting with Jitterbugs and think there may be more to do with power supplies, but out of the box, so to speak, ROCK is sensational. MQA & ROCK is the best source I have ever had, and sadly, sound quality wise, leaves Sooloos wanting.

Can't get over the seismic bass that comes with the recent Kraftwerk release (almost as good as at RAH) or the detailed subtleties of Prince's guitar playing on 'Purple Rain'. And Callas singing 'Vissi d'Arte' on the recent Pretre 'Tosca' extraordinarily involving...you get the idea.

ROCK, Tidal & Prime (perhaps Explorer too?) is just amazing.

Can you elaborate on this. I wouldn't expect this tbh.

Cheers!
