Details of the Roon Optimized Core Kit (Rock)

If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day. But if you teach a man to fish he will buy an ugly hat. And if you talk about fish to a starving man then you are a consultant.

DACs are supported, as are the built-in audio devices on the machine. We have tested the built-in devices briefly, but have not done serious tests to check for their SQ. These built-in devices can differ based on your exact hardware configuration, so we don't plan on doing SQ test in the future. All audio devices are supported in exclusive mode.
Are drivers for USB DACs all the same? Iirc that someone (Gianni?) mentioned Explorer and 818 had different drivers which makes me think not.

Will ROCK likely support Explorer (v1, v2) and Prime plugged into its NUC?

No the E2 and 818v2 USB drivers are the same. I did highlight that they could be downloaded from two different places but the application appears to be the same.
