My system:

Audio Core 200 connected to DSP5200 Legacy's using a pair of Revivers using master and slave SpeakerLink in a star config.

Source - Ensemble and a 506CD.

Left Speaker is Master and this works correctly with the Audio Core.

Right Speaker has the issues:

I have reset to option 1 and set it as R but here is where it goes odd. The Display simply says 'R <blank>'.

I have a further 3 options that I can set which are are (blank).. Slv. and Slv2.

When I set the option to 'R <blank>' and power cycle I get audio but the speaker shows it as master and the audio core does not affect volume of this speaker (but does work with the remote) and selecting either of the 2 other options result in no audio at all.

Any Ideas as to where I've gone wrong?

Thanks

Have you set your DSP's to type 6?

Have you "Typed" your speakers? (Is this what you refer to as option 1?)

What have you set as Controller in your system? Press "Clear" on your remote when everything is in standby.

The right hand speaker ought to be set to be "slv".

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

No I have not, reading the manual I have set them as TYPE 1.

Page 28 says TYPE 1 for 2 channel.

TYPE 6 says for use with a surround controller but will try this later.

Thanks

Yes, as per page 28 of the user manual.

I will try the 'Clear option' when I get back home.

Yes I though it should be 'Slv.' and this is how it was originally configured by the previous owner.

Thanks

Hi,

Type 1 is for systems with no controller, where you have the audio sources connected directly to the speaker.

With your AC200, you should be using Type 6.

The right speaker should be set as a slave.

Many Thanks

I think it was the 'surround' that caused me confusion.

I'll set to TYPE 6 tonight.

As an aside should this also be set on the left speaker even though this is working?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, set up both speakers _ Type 6, speaker position (L or R) and Master or Slave as appropriate.

AC200 should be set as controller (as mentioned earlier).

Still have the same issue.

Both speakers set to TYPE 6 left master and right slave.

When pressing clear the 200 says 'auto setup' then 'controller' the left master speaker says 'n.con.' Then goes back to standby. The Right slave just sits there looking pretty.

When you set both the speakers as type 1, and Master. Do you get the red light and do they both react to remote control?

How are the speakers connected to the AC200? Looks like a comms problem. Are the speakers chained together?

Yes but only the left master responds to the audio core controls and if I direct the remote to each speaker I can get them to behave independently from each other.
