The heart of my system, my beloved G91DH has completely died beyond repair leaving me with some tough (relatively speaking) choices. I understand I can still have a basic operating system, hooking up my BR player and MS600 to the 2 coax inputs on a master DSP3100 in a 2 channel system but gone will be my current analogue sources (PS3, Roku, Computer) until a replacement controller is found.

With so many unknowns ahead wrt MQA and Dolby Atmos and HDMI specs (stopping me getting an HD621) now seems the worst time for this to happen. I guess I could use an optical to coax converter from my TV to my master speaker running all audio feeds accept the MS600 through the TV and let this tide me over until M reveal their plans, but I can see that turning into a long term solution - I can’t see M touching the G series until long after the 800 MQA revamp which is out of my price range.

I guess it gives me a chance to re-assess my priorities and if movies / sports are edging out music listening – especially with a planned new flat 65” LG OLED or Sharp 80” (xu30) on the shopping list – then maybe a move away from M could be on the cards. I’m always tempted when Pio and Denon bring out their flagship receivers and think how much simpler life could be with one unit that does so much but I wonder just how much of a compromise they represent.

Not any real questions here – just somewhere to post where people might feel my pain!

Hi Simon,

Whilst your "sitting on the fence" why not pickup a 568.2.
Then once you know where you're going, sell it one for more or less what you paid for it.

Regards,
Carl

Trying to set my system up in 2 channel mode with the MS600 as the sole source and struggling with comms I think!

The C15 plays music and can control the volume so it seems comms is working. But I can't get my MSR+ to operate the C15 - Play, Pause etc. Does anyone know if the DSP3100 can control a C15 through the MS600.

The Master DSP is set to 'controller' and comms type 3c.

PS - I am pointing the remote at the speaker wink!

Nailed it. Switched comms to 4c and it works. Too tired for listening tests but first impressions are that it sounds much more bass heavy. Will experiment tomorrow.
