Well, they are impressed! Perhaps it will help to educate on the topic of compressed MP3.

Not heard it myself yet but I really hope that this initiative opens up a new door of success for our favourite hi-fi manufacturer.

My friend recently bought an Evoque with the 800w system to replace his old mini cooper S and he's complaining that the sound system doesn't sound very good.

I tried playing around with his system. There's a lot of toys and features to play with like dual view screen and surround modes. However, I must agree with him that the system sounded weak.. not sure if its because of his crappy CD/music or is it, because of the system. The sound can be described as.. "tinny".. like hitting an empty can .. and the bass was weak, especially in Trifield mode. (I'm guessing clear tweeter, but weak mid and bass?). The highs definitely sound clearer than my muddy BMW sound system though.

Next time I will try bringing my own CDs to see if it sounds better.
