Okay I have put up with this problem for several months and this afternoon I decided to upgrade the HD621 firmware to the latest version. There were two files and I uploaded both.

Surprise, surprise !! My switching problems instantly disappeared.

If anyone else is putting up with the same problem then I highly recommend to upgrade the HD621 firmware. I am now having the HDMI source switch instantly at ONE touch of the remote button.

Yes I wished I tried this ages ago.
