Yes, it now seems Oppo believes RS-232 will only take one extra week.

I wonder if I would soon get an email from Oppo that I can order a unit, if they would let me have it shipped to CHT (for modding) instead of to my registered address...?

I sure hope so because that's exactly what I did. My invitation was issued earlier this week, so mine will be in the first group shipped, hopefully next week. I'll call Oppo Monday and make sure everything is OK with HT receiving it. I'll post what I find out.
