Joe1c, I think your player was correctly set up for bitstream. Not many Bluray discs are being released with Hi Def PCM AFAIK.

There is a helpful discussion of all these confusing formats at http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/1064 and the Dolby & DTS HD formats are bitsstream, not PCM.

All VERY confusing.
