I don't believe a 5.x setup has PLIIx Mov6 as a choice (so how could it be a less noticable improvement in 5.1?). It's only available on 7.x setups.

Why is it weird to see PLIIx Mov6 on DTS, you should have always had it with 7.1 setup. HD621 does not add that capability.

All an HD621 adds for lossy DTS/DD is basically upsampling. But that requires switching from decoding in Meridian preamp and handing that job over to your player.
