You may be right.

I list below some possible advantages of your method over my method (no particular order):

1 VP50 not required when listening to audio only.
2 VP50 receives and processes video only.
3 SQ may be better because it goes through HD621 without the extra step of the VP50 (unknown audio quality).

I will have to test this arrangement and also see how lipsynch pans out.
