OK, that is fine, but we have heard these kinds of generic platitudes before and since most of the most basic functionality questions about any forthcoming HDMI solution remain unanswered, it is difficult to know whether to bother to wait. It is frustrating enough to keep getting the bums-rush on the release of a solution, but it will be much more annoying to wait yet again and then find out that the solution is not ideal for my application - and that I could have done a 3xSPDIF mod on my player a year previously.

If there are those who have some level of inside information and are not prohibited by any kind of formal NDA (or a handshake agreement not to say anything) it would be helpful to know a few basic things:

1. LPCM-to-MHR only, or bitstream decoding as well?
2. Facility to handle 7.1 or just limited to 5.1?
3. If, as assumed, one of the 3XSPDIF inputs on 861/G68 will take the output of the box, will there be a replacement 3XSPDIF passthrough input on the box?
4. Are modifictions/upgrades required in the existing processors?

Perhaps we can get some kind of real answers in JKs CEDIa Q&A shortly!
