I had a tremendously positive experience purchasing a G68 from David.

We easily agreed on a fair purchase price and on a postponed transaction date that worked for both of us. Then on June 15, 2007 David actually came by ferry to deliver the G68 and spent a day with me to hook it up, which saved me weeks of struggling. He is very knowledgeable and patiently explained things in simple language so I could learn. The unit was in immaculate condition and complete with absolutely everything.

It was a pleasure to deal with David and I would highly recommend him to a fellow hitchhiker for any transaction.

I had an unfortunately negative experience purchasing my pair of D8ks from Dan.

I purchased a pair of D8k`s from Dan January, 2007. We drove to San Francisco to pick them up and went through an odd experience of meeting in the evening in a parking lot to make the exchange. They were advertised as in excellent condition but when we got back home we discovered that they came:
- Without spikes or feet
- Significant scratches, chips and damage where the head pins fit on the main speaker
- One of the inserts for the head pins broken.
- One of the input pin sockets bent
- One of the head units a different shade of silver than the rest.
- The manual was for an 800, not these speakers.

To us it is obvious that these speakers had been mistreated. When I talked this over with Dan he simply disagreed and said that he received the speakers without spikes or feet and that is how they were professionally installed in his home. I believe that he pretended to be ignorant to avoid taking responsibility. You would not believe what new D8k feet cost from Meridian, hence I am ordering Stillpoints.

The bottom line is that we have awesome sounding speakers that in spite of the flaws we are happy with, but we would not buy from Dan again.

Dolf

Sold my G68J to him as noted above.

Dolf posted in the restaurant back in February looking for a G68J in Canada, but I saw he was "just up the road" and responded. Due to his remodelling, we agreed to go ahead with the transaction but hold it up until June. Dolf and his lovely wife Joanna were most kind during our time there, and we now have good friends in Victoria. Joanna kept my wife from being severely bored during the Meridian geek fest that lasted large amounts of the 3 day weekend!

I'd not hesitate to deal with Dolf again in the future.

Cheers,
David.

Stuart was very quick and easy to communicate with, and the 561 was well packed, flawless and a decent price.

What a great experience. How about we make this a condition for all future H.H. transactions - buyer and seller get together for a Meridian fest while wives/sig-other go out shopping for the duration so they can't complain about the high volume!

Seriously, the sale of my 561 to Meridian506 (David) went flawlessly and he gets my positive vote.

I recently had dealings with member Porchecab. I purchased a pair of Meridian 5500 speakers from him. Other than a problem with his ISP making his email look like it was no long registered and sending me into a panic everything went fine. The speakers were packed better than they would have arrived from a dealer, in wooden crates. This took a huge leap of faith for me to wire so much money to what amounts to an email address but he made the transaction go as smoothly as possible and kept me updated. Class act all the way. I will be buying gear of Dan in the future.

Rob

I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience purchasing a 541 from chrislayeruk. The item was dispatched exceptionally quickly, at a very fair price, and in perfect condition. I am a newcomer to Meridian and Chris has been unbelievably helpful in guiding me through the options. He is clearly a real enthusiast as well as a thoroughly decent chap and I cannot recommend him strongly enough.

Jeremy.

Just Bought M60.2's from Duncs.
When he describes a product "as new" He means it.

A great person to deal with, thanks Duncan.

Cheers, Chris smile
