Hello,
This is happening to a new-to-Meridian owner, during initial setup/system connection.
561 connected to DSP5000s with comms and digital, 220V environment. After 15 minutes of normality, fuse in 561 blows. Replaced with a new (same size) fuse, same thing after 15 minutes.
Some additional details:
561 is US version, but used with a proper 220 to 120 transformer. The fuses blown were the original T250mA/250V from US, since the 561 is powered with the same 120V. DSP5000 is EU version.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Or is there another way to replace the existing internal US market transformer with a EU market one and then not using anything outboard?

You may be able to convert the transformer to 240v from 120v by changing the wiring of the primaries; 240 will be in series, 120 will be in parallel.
I did this on a 506 bought in Canada to use in the UK.
The fuse blowing may be caused by something else though!
All the best,
Steve.

I’ve been told this on another forum: Your converter seems to be electronic, because of the "90-265V" input voltage range. It likely rectifies the input, then runs an inverter to produce the 110V output, it's like a mini online UPS, but without the batteries. Its output may not be entirely correct shape so it may cause problems because of that. Try using a traditional autotransformer and see if it helps. Something like this - https://nedis-shop.nl/en/products/power-converter-netvoeding-230-v-ac-50-hz-70w

Can you plug it into a 120v socket (I’m assuming you’re in Canada where 120v is the norm)? You can see if it is working and not blowing the fuse, which would rule out a problem in the 561.
Changing the primary wiring on the transformer is very simple, a local technician should be able to do it cheaply if you’re not happy with DIY.
All the best,
Steve
