New firmware version 4.19 is available for these components. It mainly focuses the added bass extension feature of the DSP9 and DSP8000XE allowing you to turn it on or off. Some may have noticed this added feature in the recent update for the 218, 271, 251 and ID41. As this benefits only those who own both 808v3-6 or 818v1-3 AND DSP9 or DSP8000XE, don't get all wadded up about updating your components until we see some release notes in order to tell if the update is beneficial for the rest of us. Version 4.19 Also applies to the 808 Anniversary via an exclusive file.

Will this firmware apply to 861v8?
I am driving 8000SE with the XE Perfromance Pack from my 861v8, hence my question.
Cinema: DSP750 x3, DSP3300 x 4, DSW.2 x 2, Trinnov A32, 271, Oppo 203, Toshiba HD-DVD, SKY Puck, Sony XW7000 PJ, Screen Research AT Screen

Ok so need to buy some 8kXE's or DSP9's to take advantage of the firmware. Sounds like a good plan

Will this firmware apply to 861v8?
