Frank,

may I please ask...

Are your speakers still as per your signature, i.e. a 5.1 surround system?

When playing Dolby Atmos material are the various fly-around and height channels lost, or folded into the 5.1 speakers?

Does the Atmos soundtrack sound different from a conventional DD5.1 soundtrack?

TIA

Yes they are.

They are folded into the 5.1 sent to the speakers.

Yes it does ...I just ran a quick test with a Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos music track of James Brown "Superbad" when it's playing Atmos JB's vocals come from above and behind, without Atmos the vocals sound from behind.

With my current connection layout couldn't really compare the Nuprime decoding Atmos verses the Nuprime decoding True HD I will have a futher play tomorrow and run some tests smile.

Frank,
Once I saw that 2 channel was not handled well, I just used one of my MS200s as stereo source directly into the G65.

I have not paid attention to the handling of formats other than dolby atmos. I usually just throw full dolby atmos at it or 5.1 PCM.

Living Room: TV-->Sonos Arc with Symfonisk rears and twin Sonos subs. Also, a set of DSP8000SE with a MiniDSP SHD for stereo listening.

Thank you so much! Would you have pin mapping data handy? Did you leverage the info on HH?
