I've obtained a pair of M10's, but the owner's manual was not available and the original owner is deceased. I've been trying to find as much info about the M10's as I can.

One question is how to get the top (speaker) section and the base section back in-line, as it seems impossible to get them back in place after a swivel. Is there a trick?

One of the two actually has something hanging-down from the top section that's gouging the bottom section wood top. I suspect the entire unit may have toppled over at some point in it's lifetime.

I don't think that it is meant to swivel, the M10 Assembly Instructions.pdf refer to tightening the two halves together hard with the multiple allen bolts, sounds like you have a bolt or bolts missing,
The M100 manual refers to 4 bolts holding the 2 parts together.

Ok, thanks to you both for the help.

I was able to turn one of the units on its side and find the rear two screws & washers that need to be tightened to prevent swivel. I don't see how it's possible to find the front ones, however, because there's no way to access them from front, like you can the rear.

Anyway, 1 rear screw is tight, the other had been stripped out of the hole and was bent. I've straightened the screw back up and have to go find my small open-end wrench to fit it. Hoping that will stop the swivel, though, I got a feeling perhaps one or both of the front screws may be loose too.

Since I didn't put these together originally, it's hard to go back and figure how they did the front two screws/washers. I'll let you know if putting the straightened-out screw back in securely works on the first speaker.

Thanks for the links for posting pics. Good gawd, that is ancient. I may try, but, for now, I was able to remove a bent screw from both of the two M10's, which were dangling loose and gouging the bottom plate and making the top/bottom cabinet sections swivel and be off alignment. Tightened the other screw/washers that were still intact and touched-up nicks and dings and they look fantastic. I've yet to hook them up to see if everything works, but hopeful. They were owned by an elderly couple and I think maybe they may have been fallen on or moved way too many times by walking (by twisting) the units back and forth, across the floor, loosening the top from the bottom.

Apparently there is no M10 owner's manual in existence, just the M100? I've exhausted search options. Thanks for the help, guys. If they fire-up now, I'll be happy.

Ok, determined to post these, so I thank Carl for the help. If someone like me, who's never owned Meridian buys a pair of speakers that "need some love", they may run into this.
Straightened-out the bent screws that were dangling loose on both M10's, then re-screwed them back in the original holes to secure bases to the top sections. Tightened-up the other rear screw and, shazam, no more swivel action, all in perfect alignment now.

You are correct an M10 manual was never published.

Pleased you been able to assemble correctly now with two bolts per loudspeaker and looking nice.

The M10's were often paired with the Meridian 101B Control Unit/Pre-amplifier.
