Greetings,

I've recently bought a pair DSP5200SEs and now want to pass my beloved DSP5000 on to a new owner.

Caveat: My cardboard boxes fell victim to water damage. I am at this point not able to ship them. But I am willing to drive a reasonable distance and meet with a new owner for a handover. The speakers are located in Germany, Frankfurt-Main, so can be auditioned here.

Should I be able to obtain cardboard boxes (different posting) I would be able to ship. I would update here.

I am selling:
  • A pair of DSP5000 MK1 from 1995. I bought them in the US in 1995 and brought them back to Germany with me, they were converted to 220/50HZ by Meridian in the US

  • The speakers have been maintained by the German Meridian distributor, they repaired the woofers and tweeters a few years back. I do have the invoice

  • The speakers have been re-capped by me in 2019 as per the entry in the WiKi

  • I have replaced both the displays due to some faulty segments in 2020

  • I have upgraded the fuses to the Phonosophie versions

  • They were used up until 4 weeks ago (16-May) and are 100% technically sound

  • Cosmetically in great shape for their age, no rust on the screws

  • The speakers come with all the cables (power, master/slave) and a MSR

  • They also come with the original spikes for which I had bought some floor protection from Linn

  • I can also add (at a price) Gaia III supports

The speakers would make a perfect gift to get a niece or nephew fixed on high quality audio reproduction. Just add a streamer!

If there is serious interest we can arrange an audition here in Frankfurt to verify the operation. I don't have too many pictures yet but can make some more.

Please PM me should you have more questions or a reasonable offer,

Christian
