Should be input. The comms are both bi-directional. The master speaker talks 5C comms on the input and speaker comms on the output. Slave speakers talk speaker comms on both input and output.

Hi Jon,

You can’t, you may have used TYPE 6 and that’s ok, it’s only an initial starting place to have a known base before going into configuration and setting them up to suit our individual requirements.

The main reason I advise people to type to “1” for 2 channel and “6” for multi-channel is that there’s less to change afterwards on config (ie less to get wrong).

For example type 6 enables the centre channel menu options but type 1 does not … but if need / not need it can still be changed in configuration mode.

Trust you are well,
Carl

Hi,

Unfortunately I can’t at present as not at home, but my system has an 861v6 (as the controller) with each DSP being connected via its own SpeakerLink cable and the HD621 connected to the 861 via a C5 lead. Which I don’t think will help you too much … but happy to share when I’m able.

Regards,
Carl

No, I have just one cable.
Was this cable a known working cable prior to this?

Yes, the master speaker BNC comms output was connected to the slave speaker BNC comms input and it was working.

Has the current master speaker ever been used with its BNC comms input?

It’s a very remote possibility, but there could be an issue with that input? You could try switching the master and slave around so you’re using the BNC comms input on the other speaker, just temporarily to test…?

Just tried, It’s not working.
Should the BNC cable be ordinary or some special cable?

Hi,

Always handy to have a couple of BNC to phono adapters (available from Amazon), so you can use any old phono lead.

Have you ever changed the HD621 from factory settings (assuming you had it from new)? Or re-set it, if you bought it used?

Can’t recall if there is a retype setting for the HD621 in MConfig…?
