Ok I have 1 M80 and 1 F80 in different rooms… I don't really use the CD player or DVD was mainly used for radio.

That being said now most channels are DAB+ there are hardly any stations to listen to any ideas as what to do with them?

They just seem to be gathering dust.

They still seem to sell for decent money. At least I’m always tempted to get another when they appear on eBay and then they sell for more than it’s worth to me.*

Mine works well with an MS200 hidden behind it.

I gave up Tune-in radio - presuming that still works with Sooloos? When the BBC fell off it a while back but as most BBC Radio output (that I want to listen to anyway) is on FM, this may not matter to you?

* If you decide to give them away give me a call! But meantime enjoy them.

It’s a shame as I quite liked them always sound great.

Maybe hang onto it if you can - it makes for a great clock

Exactly! I have one connected to a Squeezebox Touch in one room, another to a Wiim Pro in another, playing through Roon. Considering going Wiim on all endpoints except bedroom, so daytime playing can be in sync.

I have an M80 Black in the kitchen and it serves one very important role.
My dog "Rambo" really appreciates a music source when left for more than an hour or so.
Stops him chewing stuff out of boredom.

Sorry, two very important roles, also when I am making early morning tea and listening to Auntie.

My F80 is the audio endpoint in my bedroom; I stream to it via Roon and a Chromecast Audio into the F80's optical input. Still amazes me how good it sounds.

Not sure I've ever spun a CD in it. IIRC, streaming was on the way in and CD replay was on the way out when the F80 was released. When it was shown to us at the HH1 event, some of us were rather surprised at the feature set ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have an F80 in red in my study - and I have it linked to an MS200, so my Roon /Tidal libraries are accessible
It sound very good though to be honest I do not use a great deal
Might be considered a bit of a dinosaur but its also an icon - for me at least

I recommend a Bluesound Node 2i or later (£200 - £250) to feed it optical. It can learn any remote and has loads or presets, so it means you can still easily flick between radio stations. I got a learning remote and eventually got it to learn a few (not all) of the F80 commands, which means I still survive off one remote.

I got my parents Bluesound Pulse Minis, because of the feature set. Initially I thought they sounded alright but I couldn’t adjust them to sound up to a suitable standard for me (they don’t care), so I am half looking for old F80/M80s to replace them with, fed by a Node.

I have 2 M80's. Both use optical feeds from either SB Touch, MS200 or sometimes rPi+Explorer 1.

Still sound excellent.

I have an AD88 in our main bedroom and just purchased an F80, both fed through optical from MS200s linked to my C15. I think they sound great, brilliant compact DSP systems.
