Totally agree...

I always turn off my Meridian equipment when not in use. Just leaving my main system in standby was akin to leaving a 60watt light bulb burning 24 hours a day. It's amazing what the smart power meters show!

If you're listening to the system every day, then there may be some mileage in leaving it powered up, but they don't take long to warm up.
