Did a search and could not find singer songwriter Dar Williams mentioned here so thought I'd pass on the recommendation. Ought to be of interest to a few people based on prior discussions . I could picture her at Little Rabbit Barn...

Hi Duncan
Dar Williams (New England singer songwriter) is available on Tidal, 10 Albums. "End Of The Summer" rocks a bit and would well fit the bill at LRB.

Splendid - I've been listening to her all morning on Spotify after a recommendation from a friend :-) And I thought y'all would like her, hence my post. Glad to hear she is on Tidal too.

Hi Duncan
You have now earned the priceless LRB "T" shirt.
Keep the recommendations coming. They are always welcome. Without great music, our investments would be worthless.

Start with “End of Summer” cut 5 Teenagers Kick Our Butts. Turn it way up for lofi driving rock.
Not unlike Liz Phair Exile in Guyville or Whitechocalatespaceegg.

We used to see her live every year back in the 90's. Try her Mortal City album. I prefer her earlier work.

Here is a recommendation for the self isolated.
Drew Holcomb & the Neighbours.
His 5th Album appropriately titled "Medicine" is great, but if you fancy a night out to break the monotony, try "Live at the Ryman".
With the help of Roon and Tidal I find I am listening to a lot of live albums these days.
Ellie Holcomb (wife), a sometimes member of the Neighbours, is also worth a listen as a solo artist.
Enjoy Hector

Recently discovered the late albums from Carla Bley, Andy Sheppard and Steve Swallow: Life Goes On, Andando El Tiempo and Trios. Super smart, witty, and engaging laid back jazz. beautifully produced and sounding fantastic in MQA.
Main system: NUC, Roon, Network Acoustics Ag ENO/cable, 218, 5200SE, Townsend Podium, Sennheiser HD820/800s, Sennheiser HDVA 820 amp.
Mobile: Explorer, IE800

There are few artists out there that can cross the genre divides with such consummate ease.
Shannon McNally has achieved this in Spades.
"Black Irish" is an album that exhibits her talent and ability to move through the folk, rock, country, Americana and blues genres effortlessly.
Listen and enjoy.
If you like this, move on to Ruthie Foster, the Album "Full Circle" is a gem and it hits all the same genre buttons for me, but adds soul, gospel and jazz to the list.
Much more available, hours of listening, from these two great artists and incredible supporting musicians.
Go and find it.
Happy, Isolated Hector

Do you mean "Happily" rather than "Happy" btw?
Wine delivery tomorrow morning, contactless of course?
