I never get why people ask for a white Americano? Surely an Americano is just espresso and water, the point you add milk it is no longer an Americano, it is just a Flat White?
I like espresso based drinks, so I started off down the Gaggia route but never got satisfying results. In the end I bought an Izzo Alex Duetto dual boiler machine, and a Mazzer Mini grinder.
What I found was that fresh beans and a good quality grinder make more difference that anything else.
When I brew Coffee in my B2C machine I save all the grounds in a large plastic container prior to spreading them on my garden borders on a weekly basis.
By comparison, when making a Nespresso Coffee, I save a large quantity of spent capsules in another sealed plastic container until it’s full. I then transfer the now putrid/pungent mass into a Nespresso recycling bag prior to disposal at my local Nespresso Boutique.
Now, though, Dualit have introduced a useful widget (£12.49) for separating a sealed Nespresso capsule. This will enable me to easily extract the Coffee grounds for disposal in my garden. The remaining (clean) capsules can then accumulate prior to disposal at my local Nespresso Boutique.

Even though I do not use my Nespresso as much as I use to (I've gone back to powdered instants with milk and taken a shine to Starbucks Via capsules), I'll probably end up getting one. Storing months and months worth of Nespresso capsules as you say prior to recycling, usually ends up as messy affair even storing them in their recycling bags.

I like the idea of that device, we get through a few Nespresso capsules here and being able to put the spent grounds in the garden appeals to me.
That said, we do recycle them however, Each time I empty the machine I tend to leave the pods out to air dry before putting them in the green Nespresso bag.
Our old Nespresso machine (at least 8+ years old, pump no longer self-primed) was replaced over Xmas.
If you like Milk based coffee drinks (or every hot chocolate) this machine is very good (3 second warm-up time including steam wand). The Stainless Steel version is on offer at present a good saving over list which is circa £450.
