Wow this Heldenleben is really good. It's like they found the old BPO sound after years making sounds that were more stripped down. Sumptuous seductiveness languid and also generally higher volume levels. MQA instrument placement super precise (solo violin percussion). Thanks for letting me know about it.

The Hungarians are amazing indeed - I've fallen for No 11 and No 12. 12 is always a favourite of mine but their ensemble work on these tracks, from the 50s no less, is stunning. Only the Endellions i heard last year possess similar unity.

I did not know the Rana Goldberg was significant. Will check that out next.
