Well that's a start. Much more to come I hope crazyhorse

Edit: Tried playing this but received lots of Sooloos green envelopes as tracks were unavailable to play. If this is a Tidal traffic problem best get MQA versions of more NY albums to satisfy the demand.

Not sure if you can sort / search yet....
A small step forward. They still only have 537 titles listed under "masters" in the US. To find additional MQA albums with the "M" notation you have to call up a Artist then list all their albums to see which one are marked with the "M".

As far as I can tell the "M" notation currently does not carry over to Tidal under Roon. It is only within the Tidal App.

Sooloos main here, so just wanted to understand what they have done: if you search in TIDAL desktop app (only) Master tracks have an M tag in their title ?

Then separately (or not?) what are they trying to do with the TIDAL Masters Playlist? They announced something like that a few weeks back that looked to be a sample of their M catalogue, but overnight they have announced it again ? Or they are announcing something different ?

Got into The Corrs (White Light), Clapton (Come Back?), Ed Sheeran (Divide) and Ella F (Ella), really loving the vividness and presence of MQA..

It seems like now we have various pre-defined compilations of Tidal Masters Playlist available.

I am still using Sooloos and access Tidal via my iPad.

With these new playlists, i now don't have to go into a seperate tidal app to add as favourites, MQA albums i would like to see in Sooloos.

I can see the listed Tidal Masters playlists directly from Sooloos. Tidal-Playlists

This is a big step forward for finding MQA content in a more 'convenient' way.

Just go through the play lists, find a track of an artist you like, then you can simply add the whole album/track to your library......a lot less hunting required now.

As Tidal automatically Tags all MQA tracks/albums. It would be nice to be able to apply this filter when searching within in Tidal.
(As we can already do this within our own libraries using the filter for 'Mqa' tag).

(i'm Still waiting for Rhapsody to introduce MQA, so i can drop Tidal....prefer the Rhapsody content)

Never tried this yet. I have taken the same approach as I do with albums and have applied "Favourite" to the playlist in the Tidal App, which then appears in Sooloos/Tidal/My Library/My Favourites/Playlists.

Just a lot of knuckle taps on my C15 screen but hey ho!

What would be good would be for Sooloos to display all "Favourites" without the need to hit the "More" button several times to get the complete list.

The usually excellent Marc Minkowski's release today of Bach's 'St. John Passion' is on Tidal in MQA.

Great that this is on the day of release; should be good, especially that opening chorus.

You might also enjoy the Rostropovich Warner re-releases. I just clicked on his name for the Dvorak Cello Concerto in the Tidal App (easily seen in the What's New Master section), and the rest were easy to find, including the excellent 'Don Quixote' with Karajan.

Incidentally, has the Google spreadsheet become rather wild or overgrown?

Hi Richard
Seems like a birthday is a great incentive to add MQA albums.
I now see 15 Rostropovich Master Albums on Tidal and very good the ones I have listened to are.
Now to find the time to listen to them all.

Warning, the track metadata from Tidal that appears on Sooloos seems to be carelessly put together and has to be interpreted to know what you are listening to

I was looking for a place to gush about that very album - the cello image in the Saint Saens is gorgeous, palpable and alive. In the Dvorak, the dynamic range is beautifully captured - real pianimissimos to powerful fortes. First movement I still detect some indistinct bass, especially where the timpani comes in, but Ive always felt this to be a classic LPO sound. What a drop for his birthday.

To hear that others are also in MQA format is great, why didnt i read this before coming to work ! smile I love the Karajan/Slava Don, and Don being such a dense, programmatic piece always suffers somewhat in ADD remasterings. Hope to be blown away tonight.

Yes the list is in a challenging place now. Cant keep up I think with the releases.

Happy listening ! /bt
