Page 4 and 5 are not needed, misleading and confusing.

The whole reason you setup ASIO in Foobar2000 in the first place is to BYPASS the Windows Sound Mixer.

A good test is to set that WRONG in the Sound Control and see that it has no affect on foobar2000. Also verify the Windows Volume Control has no affect on foobar2000. If either of those do affect foobar2000 then you didn't setup foobar2000 correctly and MQA will never work.

It doesn't hurt to set that in Windows for other Music Apps (that won't be "BitPerfect" or "MQA") as well as Notification "Dings" (I think). But that should be made clear in the document if you want to include that information. But has nothing to do with "MQA".

The document in a nut shell is saying here is how you bypass Windows Sound Mixer in foobar2000 then goes on to show you how to setup the Windows Sound Mixer.
