Excellent! Glad it's working. Only way I've been able to find additional albums is by checking the What's New > Masters section in the TIDAL desktop app.

If anyone figures out how to access the MQA titles in Tidal using a Mac please let us know. The "Masters" option is not listed after New Recomended Top 20 when I access Tidal on my MacBook.

I have always added Tidal titles to Sooloos using Control Mac. Is there a way to bring import them from the Tidal Desktop app?

What version of the TIDAL desktop app do you have? I have: "2.1.1.160 (W: 1.19.4--7) (NP: NA)"

Note also that Masters only appears under What's New > Albums not under What's New > Tracks!


ControlMac > Settings > Accounts > Configure > Import Library from TIDAL. But BEWARE:
There are some issues with importing a TIDAL library in Sooloos, which are being discussed in this thread I just tried an import using 2.515 with only a dozen or so albums listed under My Music in Tidal and things get pretty slow in ControlMac and one by one you see albums appear in the Sooloos iPad app. I had some individual tracks under My Music and they get imported as single track albums into Sooloos as well.

I came close to rebooting my core as it started acting up after importing about a dozen albums.

I found it after looking back at the link posted earlier for downloading the Tidal ap.

I now see Masters after logging in with the ap.

Now time to search.

One of the copies of Phil Collins - Face Value is 96k MQA. Worth a listen to for the drums on "In The Air Tonight". The quality of the snare drum and cymbals is very reminiscent of those from Metallica's Enter Sandman, which I'm still trying to get my hands on!

Not sure what update Sooloos would need other than to properly mark the Tidal MQA as such. By design the MQA files are backwards compatible and should play just fine. If they happen to find an MQA decoder then it should work.

Same for Roon.

For now the only way to officially find the master catalogue is via the steps outlined on the Tidal webpage.

I found four versions of Moondance on Tidal, only one is MQA.
I lost the lock a couple of times on differant Albums, I put it down to 'Early Days'.
SWMBO is watching the TV on her own tonight.

I'm just browsing music where there's at least one advertised album by the artist, then "playing" other albums by the artist in the TIDAL app and seeing if the HiFi logo changes to MASTER (bottom right).

Currently listening to The Doors - Riders on the Storm MQA.96k (blue light).

In the end I didn't have to do anything except select the correct version of the Title that was MQA. (So far not the top listed version).

-I am now going thru all of the "Master" titles in the open Tidal Ap to see what I might want to add.
-I then switch to Control Mac
-I search for the title in Tidal using Control Mac. I elect a version to play and if MQA comes up on the display I know it the correct version. If not I choose the same title again until find the MQA version.
- I then add it to my Library if I like the music.
-I then Edit the Title using Control Mac to include MQA in the title.

This sounds amazingly good, actually I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce - but Don't Hurt Yourself and Freedom sounds fantastic, Killing Me Softly with Roberta Flack in 192 is beyond amazing...wow...for now I'm running the Tidal App on my Surface Pro 4 into Explorer2 to my B&O H8...can't wait to get MQA to my DSP8000USE's---Meridian, where is that 218 ???

Hi all, this is how you can play all 162 MQA albums on Tidal on your Sooloos System NOW.

1. Be sure you are using the Tidal Apt, NOT Tidal in a browser. I downloaded the Apt to my Windows PC from the Tidal.com home page. I would think you can use the Apt on an iPad, but I have not tested this yet.

2. I opened the Tidal Apt on my PC and on the Tidal home page. Click “What’s New” (top left) now look for “Albums” and just to the right you will see “Master”. Click on “Master” and all 162 MQA albums will be listed.

3. Move your curser over an album you want and click on the Favorite Star. Keep doing this for all the MQA albums you want. You have now added the albums you like to your Tidal favorite list.

4. Now you need to add your Tidal favorites to your Sooloos Core.

5. Remember, I use a C15, so not sure how this works w/iPad, etc.

6. On my C15, I go to Explore>Tidal>My Liberty>Favorites>Albums.

7. Now the hard part……(if there is an easier way, please I would love to know).

8. Scroll through your album list and when you find the new added MQA album tap the Circle on the left of the album name and choose “Add Album to My Liberty”. You have just added a Tidal favorite to your Sooloos Core.

9. To make it easy to find all your Tidal MQA albums in Sooloos you will need to add a “Tag” to the Tidal MQA album. Sooloos will not list your Tidal MQA albums in the “MQA Focus” list, only MQA albums you imported into Sooloos (files you purchased from a download site). This may change w/a Sooloos software update??

10. While playing a Tidal MQA album go to the “Edit Album Data” page, tap “Tags” scroll down to MQA and Tap. Be sure to Tap “Save Changes” on the bottom Right of the page. If you can’t find “MQA” in your Tags list you will need to add it to the Tag list.

11. Remember these steps are for the C15.

12. The ones I have listened to so far sound wonderful.

and BTW - the so called Pink Floyd album The Endless River, in my opinion total crap which has nothing to do with PF, but it sounds great in 24/96 MQA...can't wait for the real Floyd to appear in MQA...
