Did it all work with the 5.1DDD type the first time?
As George said above when you went back to type the second time you would have reset all your changes when you loaded the config.
Just one last thought did you set the product version to "2.50 or higher". He means, in the Legacy Config programme: it's at the top of the first page of Processor settings, as I recall.

yes, set to 2.5 or higher. what I also tried per the instructions was this.
once I saved the 2.5b9 software to the unit I typed it, You know, on the front panel chose 5.1DDD. Than hit the power button and then restarted the 568.2mm and hit the display button, it showed 2.5b9, great.
I then attached the USB cable to the laptop, opened the the Legacy program and "fetched the program from the 568 as this is what the addendum manual says to do. So you have the fetched program that you now can renane, choose 2,50 or higher, config speakers , save and then store and all should be good. I have also tried to just open a new file. Both failed
I did not think any additional settings were needed to be made at this time in order to check to see if the processor worked correctly. Just maybe I need to configure setting for my sonos as this is what I am using to test the speakers but the addendum does not say so.
If anyone out there is in the USA and is proficient in doing this,I would be happy to ship unit to you, pay UPS both ways, and pay you as compensation for your time. Preferrably a Meridian or exMeridian tech.

Bayetta Get in touch with Marc Koval, who runs Meridian servicing as an independent business now. here I'd agree that it's time to hand your unit over to someone who knows what they are doing, as you're going round in circles now. Cheers George
