Reputable news / technology site Engadget is reporting the following ahead of the scheduled (re-)launch event today @ 5pm EST ... Edited for length; original article can be found here.... Ahead of a relaunch event this evening, the streaming service cut it's monthly rate in half. That's right, instead of shelling out $20 for spinning the lossless catalog, you'll now need to commit $10 per month. According to the company's Twitter account, the drop in price doesn't mean that you'll get access to less, either. Subscriptions still include the same content, with high-definition streaming being the key feature. ... Happy listening. Regards Dave

Article has it wrong IMO. The tweet from @TIDALHifi says $9.99/month for TIDAL Premium. That is the current price for Premium. It's $19.99/month for the lossless "HiFi" option.

Update: If you want lossless audio, it is still $20 a month. $10 a month is for "standard" audio quality  Source: Tidal Try Now page.

What HiFis take on things sums it up neatly really TIDAL relaunch in US Welcome to the exciting world of Madonna, Jack White, Alicia Keys, Calvin Harris & Daft Punk? Well 3 out 5 ain't bad. Oh no I forgot Coldplay, let's hope everyone else does too! So, with the promise of 'exclusives' from the likes of the above, Jay Zeds purchase of TIDAL has dragged us all into a new glamorous world I'm sure we're all glad to be part of. I wonder how much the curation will now focus on the above rather than the interesting 'obscure' stuff of the past few months? Interesting times ahead. Let's hope the raised level of interest gets the MQA bandwagon rolling more quickly with all the artists and we get a MQA rollout maybe sooner than 2015 Quarter 4 as is currently expected.
