I'm not having any problems after the update...

Jack, good to know. Have you noticed any benefits from the new Sooloos software and 818 firmware, either in Control:Mac, Core Control or otherwise?

I noticed the dropout just once. Since then no further problems.
Can it be, that the system has to reorganize some DB stuff after the update? Probably this could be the reason for those temporary dropouts?

I'm pretty sure my MD600 Core process "locked up" once during an afternoon playback session. I had to reboot the MD600 to let the music play.

I haven't fiddled in depth with Control:PC or Core Control since the update (just usual interactions to play music) but I haven't noticed anything new and important.
In any case, I didn't expect any important differences based on the release notes. Not sure what you mean about new 818 firmware. There hasn't been any for quite a while unless I missed something.

Sorry I guess only the ID41 firmware was updated to 1.162.

With the advent of Sooloos V2.435, I can only observe that all the necessary 162 ducks are now in a row, ready for the next important upgrade.
Perfect so far.
I do not believe existing customers would get this level of upgrade support from any other supplier.

Hi all,
Pre-build if I was listing to Sooloos via ID40 and I switched the 861 to a different source the Sooloos track would stop playing.
Post-build is seems that the track continues to play, yet no one is listening.
I can see pros and cons for this change of behaviour, so I'm not grumpy about it... it's just different.
Can someone else try this and report back.

My system is still having problems. HQ told me it could be something with my network. There is been a change in how Sooloos works and that change could be that there is a conflict somewhere now.
I have rewired my system so that the MD and MS are directly on the router and the problem is still there. This weekend I will disconnect everything else from my router to try if it works better that way.
Again I think it is very strange that a software change has got me pulling cables and testing a perfectly working network.
All my previously owned Sooloos products worked great every single time. Never a dropout or a lost zone or what so ever. But straight after the update I got the problem. There is nothing added to my network after updating.
My guess is that the problem is in the MD because if the MS is loosing connection then the volume would be set to 65. This is why I am thinking that the MD software is somehow stopping to stream the music to the MS.

Hi, May I suggest that your MD and MS are connected to a simple network switch and then have that switch connected to your 'router'. This way Sooloos traffic can bypass the router completely. IMHO 'routers' are not always great at being switches. Regards, Carl

I would prefer that it does not stop when changing input. Much nicer when I try to compare Sooloos with other sources.
