HDMI inputs on the processors. I know it's considered sacrilege by some on here but if it's good enough for Krell, Bryston et al then surely it's the better option.
Do many people listen to a Krell 707 and think "Well, it's ok, but heavily compromised by not having HDMI dealt with in a separate box"?

StackOverflow has a down vote system.
HDMI inputs in the processor would get a -1 from me.
The HD621 does a great job at what it does, I would rather see continued development of that.
Cheers Greg

Integrated Networkplayer for Sooloos. More accounts support like Napster/Rhapsody or TuneIn.

Integrated Networkplayer for Sooloos Do you mean to stream from an app on your computer into the Sooloos multiroom system (as in your questions elsewhere)?

Do many people listen to a Krell 707 and think "Well, it's ok, but heavily compromised by not having HDMI dealt with in a separate box"? Interesting question - I've not heard a pre/pro used as a DAC that sounds as good as a 861, even discounting the use of extra DSP. I imagine for movie audio, HDMI in the processor is just fine but that's not why you spend the big bucks.

The HD621 does a great job at what it does, I would rather see continued development of that. That's absolutely fine & I don't doubt that it does a great job but I also bet that the lack of HDMI inputs will discourage some potential processor purchasers. It's hard to imagine that it wouldn't. What about having the inputs but also keeping the HD621 on the books for the purist?

I totally agree with you. I thought why do I need another box (HD621) when I had just bought an expensive (to me) audio processor!
Cheers Shaun

Yes but if you bought a 861v4 before Bluray took off, you'd look at the HD621 price and wet yourself laughing at the people who sold their Lexicon/Krell/whatever at a huge loss (due to the lack of HDMI) and bought an inferior processor just for the lossless codecs.
