Just wanted to make sure I understood. Some folks do use Trifield with just 2 speakers. They like it so that's fine.
However, when we spoke to M directly about this (HH1 IIRC) they thought it was a bit weird as it isn't designed for that.
The internal architecture of the 808/818 is probably way off what would be needed for >2 channels.

That would logically be M response. 2 channel is this product; multi-channel is this other product. It would make no sense to hybridise them.
MRC for 2 channels though I do agree with. I guess they would need to know how much demand there would be for it.
