When I play music in Stereo or Direct mode from my 568.1 I sometimes lose the center sound i.e. guitar licks in Anastasia by Slash. If I change to Trifield it all sounds OK. The same happens both with MC200 and Oppo as source.

The centre speaker will not be active in Stereo or Direct, so this is expected behaviour.

Or do you mean something else? If you mean part of the track are simply missing, then something else is happening. But I suspect it's just that they are much more recessed in the balance than you are used to with Trifield.

The center speaker is of course inactive in Stereo or Direct so it's a part of the track that is missing. Like it said: I would like to go Trifield but I only have two speakers.

It sounds like you have some odd reversal of presets going on.
If I knock the power off my Centre in Trifield, it sounds as you describe, as if half the music has gone missing.
Switching to Stereo or Direct then restores the balance.

Your signature "DSP5200 RLC, ..." suggests you have 3 DSP's at the front. Does your signature box need updating or am I missing something?

All DSP's are updated with the latest firmware if that's what you mean.

No, you said "I only have two speakers" but your signature box lists 3 DSP's Right, Left and Centre.

Which is correct?
Do you have a 2.0 system, a 3.0 system or something else?

I have a 5.2 system where the three front speakers are DSP5200. The two rear speakers and the two subs are non-Meridian analogs. In Stereo the right and left speakers are active and in Stereo the right and left speakers plus the subs are active. In Trifield all seven speakers are active.

Well - yes in Trifield but not in Stereo and Direct where I loose the music that is supposed to come from between the left and right speakers. For example Slash's guitar licks in Anastasia.

Can you confirm that you have configured each DSP correctly i.e. that left is left and right is right?

If you have them both left (for example) then any content that you might expect from the right will be missing in two channel direct preset. Except when you engage a multichannel preset and it comes from the centre.
