Tractor yes... Or the noise of 3 screaming fighting children!! No exhaust on the planet could block the noise.

More serious steps are required:

1: Matching luggage for their 18th Birthdays

2: Two seat car.

I heard a RR with Meridian audio in it yesterday. Now I know why the parents in their RR's need to leave the engine running whilst waiting to pick their kids up.

At the risk of being thought a smarta**e, I got a new type RRS last December but I did not specify the Meridian ICE system. Why? well, as in my earlier posts on this thread, it's a car for driving and I don't consider it a good environment for serious listening.

BTW, the car is miles better than the previous model. I have tried it off road and I can't believe what it will go over. Much better than my previous BMW X5s.

The Range Rover currently in a long term test with Motor Trend just posted the update here, which focuses (not in a lot of depth) on the Meridian sound system.

The reviewer hadn't heard of Meridian before (even though their sister publication is Stereophile), but comes away impressed.

Cheers, Ian

This topic has some cross-polination form another on here; for me I wouldn't ever spend extra $$$ on a premium sound system in a car. For me it's largely radio & a 'decent' system is good enough.

I don't want to be distracted by listening out for the 3rd violin when I'm in a car; I have other things to do.
