Hi All,

I'm at the Jaguar F-Type Launch at Hatfields in Sheffield today from now until 4:00pm if anyone would like to come and hear how good the Meridian In-Car surround system sounds!

As you can see I'm also demonstrating the Control:15 and Meridian M6.

Hatfields Jaguar 200 Sharrow Vale Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S11 8ZD

Cheers,

Rick

Rick,

Out of interest, do you sell many systems to people looking to buy a car?

What's the feedback like?

I love this car. If we don't have 300% tax on luxury cars here I would buy it tomorrow smile

I ordered this one pictured below back in 2001 but Jaguar failed to deliver, instead they invested their money in diesel engine technology. I got a refund on my deposit and ended up with a JAG number plate spare that now adorns my Mercedes Smart car grin

I wouldn't buy the one they finally produced even if I could still afford it. The original was a far prettier car as you can see from the pictures. Very D and E type styling and the D type has to be the most beautiful car ever produced.

Money aside, would you buy what they eventually produced?

No; it's not close enough to the original design.

Front end = D-type grin
Back end = TVR frown

I went to the actual F-type launch as a guest of JLR. It is a lovely car and they've put an awful lot of hi-tech work into it. Admittedly it isn't as pretty as the concept model but, hey, battle plans never survive first contact with the enemy (*).

Yes. Cars were quite different back then.

You could put your foot down and not have a computer intervene if it was not the safest/most economic/least polluting/etc option wink
