Sorry I wasn't clear. I am talking about rebooting the system core. In your case it would be the MC200

About the only "glitch" encountered so far is the iPad will sometimes hang. Restarting it jolts it back into action. So far it is unclear what, if anything, sponsors this behaviour. The play continues with no problem, just the graphics does not change with a change of folder.

Overall a much nicer setup for control than the bulky Control:10.

Thanks, I thought a bit more about what you said and realized it was the MC200 that would need rebooting.

Really like the new Core Control iPad App! I have had it loaded since it came out and used it for a week. I find it much easier to use than the old app and really close in functionality to the Control:10 and 15 touchscreens I have demoed. I have been busy the last week enhancing my album art. Google images is my choice for this task as I copy the album name into it from Control:PC. I have had no crashes yet on my iPad 1 so I cannot complain about that either.

I just got my order confirmed for an iPad 3! Due to be delivered to my house the first day it is available, March 16. I really look forward to the enhanced performance, RAM memory and above all that Retina 2048x1536 resolution. My newly enhanced album art should look great and I look forward to how the Core Control app will perform with it.

Congratulations on new iPad.

Has the new iPad got more RAM? I have seen no mention of it anywhere. The Retina display will make a difference, but not sure how much ControlCore will make use of it.

Per Apple's own words for years now "It's all about the Experience, not about the Specs" sick

So, Apple never quote the Specs on their iOS Devices and haven't done so since they started to release them

What happens is that within 24 hours of the Product being released, a company like iFixit gets the product and Strips it down bit by bit

They then release the Specs and Pictures on all the different Chips etc., that go to make up the Device

IMHO, the "new iPad" as Tim Cook is calling it..........i.e. neither the expected iPad 3 nor iPad HD.......is a bit meh!!

An A5x processor rather than the expected A6 Quadcore.........likely only 1Gb of Ram.........and now with 4 times the Pixels to service

The 2,048 by 1,536 screen is a decent advance, but still only IPS rather than OLED

They didn't even spend a lot of time on what iOS 5.1 brings, which likely means a Stability step rather than a Performance or Feature upgrade

All in all, probably worth the extra $100 that they are looking for........not sure it's worth existing users upgrading though

Not the major step forward that many in the Tech industry were expecting............but likely will still sell by the bucketload, for exactly the reasons why Ian said he bought his Macbook wink

I think 1GB ram will help application performance.

The 3Mpix screen will render the hires coverart nicely. Could have been quad core cpu instead of dualcore, I agree. But the screen should be alot nicer than the iPad2.

What am I doing wrong? (I fear I know the answer...)
Having spent a little more time on the App, I can confirm that the Search Box does Search based on the Track Name, Album Name, Artist Name and Composer

So, the Search should be picking up and listing any Tracks which have Brahms 118 in them

Try exactly what you have typed above though.......i.e. "Brahms op. 118" rather than the "Brahms 118" that you said you tried

I'm not sure if the App will perform a proper search using Non-Sequential Text items

I am finding it difficult to get the queue to display properly. I will add songs to the queue, and at the top it will say how many are in the queue, but it does not display the individual tracks in the queue. I have to close down the app completely and then reopen it for the queue to display properly. Maybe I hit a setting somewhere? Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi Simon,

I think this one of the known bugs that Meridian are aware of and working on, I get it too.
