Given the introduction of the MC200/600 line it appears to me that the ability to create sets is an important feature to add to C-PC/Mac and the iPad app.
You can create sets on the new core control iPad app, but I never could on the old app.
Quoting and disagreeing with myself .... got to be a bad sign!
Anyhow, although create sets now works on my setup, I still find it much better when ripping double albums to rip them to a harddrive (using dBpoweramp for example) and then importing into Sooloos as a folder so that all tracks are in the same album.
I think the app is great to use and a huge step forward but I am also getting regular crashes on my iPad2 exclusively or almost exclusively when I am trying to set up a focus.
Tried same 3 albums, this time it took longer to fail and it was on the 8th album, and not the same one as before ( guess you figured that using simple maths)!
I get regular crashes using focus, I'm loosing queues, lots of closing down app. Also the MS600 has needed re-starting twice, may be a coincidence. Eeek.
We did chat with HQ in Bristol about this and the response was that for clients with 20,000+ albums it would be bad for iPad memory etc. That may be true for the extreme collections.
However, the counter argument is that for the other 99% of Sooloos iPad users with 'normal' collections, the artwork could easily be sync'd & stored locally on the iPad. If the only lag is then due to iPad speed (rather than Sooloos Store&Core/network speed) then it will get better as iPads get quicker.
As I have previously mentioned iPeng appears to sync an entire library of artwork locally. It may take a few minutes to do so but once done it makes swiping covers screens very very smooth.
