Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but I not I have my Mac I have a few Mac Q's.
1. On a Mac (preferably Lion) that does not have Microsoft Office installed, do the fonts 'Arial Narrow', Century (and variants) and Lucinda (plus variants) exist? Same for Arial and 'Arial Black'.
2. Does Adobe Design Suite CS3 run in Parallels?
3. Does anyone have Sonos controller working on OS X Lion? Mine works intermittently, possibly firewall related but issues remain if firewall turned off once problems start. I have added Sonos controller as firewall app. Sonos is apparently not supported, but I want to know how far this 'non support' goes.
4. The big question for me is can anyone recommend a Bluetooth Mouse? Temporarily using my wifes Microsoft 5000 which works OK but is a bit small and scroll wheel works 'backwards' to what I am use to. I have spied the Logitech 555b but cannot find one in the flesh. I like the look of keeping in house with the Apple Magic Mouse, but it gets poor reviews for ergonomics, especially when using design software where click and scroll can get confused when using design software. But I am pretty use to the multi touch of the inbuilt Macbook trackpad and feel that it would be nice to continue with that with mouse (which is needed because trackpad is not accurate enough for design work and my tablet is not my preferred input device)
5. Has anyone compared colour calibration profiles on Macbook screen to that generated by third party software such as Datacolor?
6. What does Time Machine hardware give that a Nas box does not? My WD NAS appears as a time machine device, although I have yet had a play with it. Cannot see what extra 130 of Time Machine will give me if I already have wireless network.
7. Is there a quick start guide for Mac, other than the Hello booklet? I want to know about how to install apps such as Sonos which I had found that even though it was running, it had not installed it properly into apps area.
8. Is there a Mac version of the excellent Synchtoy? I will be working in a mixed Mac/PC environment so will need to transfer files between.
