You don't actually need all the money in the world for this, but I would go back to Lamm (or Tenor) + Kharma in a heart beat. Best sound I've ever had. Or ask Jim Carfrae to build one last Little Big Horn and pair it with a Wavelength Audio amp.

Never heard of any of that stuff, but that's just me. Given a relatively normal size room I'd go with 8Ks and be very happy.

Get the perfect room built to house it all.  This would make more difference and would be the first thing I'd do before even looking at equipment. In fact, if money was no problem I'd be looking at a completely new property, even taking into account the location's noise levels (flight paths, trains, road traffic). Steve.

+1 on the property perspective. We nearly always have some very domestic compromises to be made with hi-fi. Mind you, at least I could afford the divorce lawyer in this scenario

If I had a colossal amount of money, I would open high end stereo shop and stock it with various high end speakers and electronics. When I got bored, I'd sell everything.
Oh, and I would still enjoy my 8Ks at home and not change a thing.
