Erwin, you have obviously done a brilliant job and put Meridian to shame.

You also seem to be exposing some of Meridian's secrets.

When apodising was originally debated, VK speculated that Meridian had "deliberately crippled" some of the applications so that the reference kit would sound best and justify a premium (which actually seems fair commercial behaviour).

We also learned, or so we thought, that the optimum application required the most processing power. This made it all the more surprising when extra MIPS were not added to the 808.3 or the 861v6 (or even BIPS).

And then Meridian offered free appodising to "old" 5k2s but not 8ks.

What is going on here?
