My 568 has been attached to my laptop for a month while I sort out programming it all from scratch, including loading the firmware at some point. I will install it and use it properly one day when I get time.

Duncan, firmware loaded, no ill effects. Not had the chance for any serious listening yet, just a couple of tracks, initial impression would suggest a little more ambience to the sound.
