Bristol is only one-and-a-half hours away up the road but I am away that weekend.
I hope you all have a wonderful time. I found the staff very friendly and helpful at Bristol Sevenoaks when I visited last year.
And please post detailed playlists as well as equipment reviews.

We have been finalising everything that will be at the Store for the event today and it is looking awesome. It will be the most amount of products Meridian have ever had on demonstration in one place apart from the factory.
It will be THE place to see and hear the brand this year!
There will be over 200K of working products not including the 810 projector.
Most of the kit is being built especially so it shows the effort Meridian are putting in. They are loathed to bring it all back to the factory so there might be some very special deals to be had.
Look forward to meeting you all soon.
Regards, Richard.

Any chance of a comparison between:
Sonos into 861 Soolos into 861 (SPDIF) Soolos into 861 (id40) 808.3 into 861
All into dsp8000s of course.
I'm sure that would interest many.

If at all posible, I'd like to listen to a 861v6+ID40 and a pair of 8Ks being feed with:
1) Sooloos via ID40 to 861 2) 808.3 via SpeakerLink to 861

Hi Colin,
Which part of the 'North' are we talking about?
I know it's a long shot but if anyone is near Liverpool I could do with a lift!
More than happy tp 'pay my way'

OK folks...here's Plan A
To concentrate the HH presence (and maybe even our collective purchasing power) the suggestion is to aim for the store for about 3pm onwards on Sat 26th Feb.
Obviously, if your plans are to be in Bristol earlier than that, it doesn't mean don't go until 3pm but at least we have a time that we know to expect other HH's to be there and maybe 'normal people' will be headed home.
Richard has kindly said that he will keep the session open for us after 5pm for as long as we need (or until he has prized a credit card out of each and every one of us [joke !!]), and that he'll supply plenty of refreshments along the way to help the process.
There will be plenty to see/hear as he mentioned above...in fact a stronger line up of M products than we'll have seen in a store for a very long time.
If you haven't indicated a "YES I coming" in this thread yet, please could you do so. It'll help organise things.
cheers
Rgds, Nick

Hi Nick First, Thanks to Richard for arranging all of this and his hospitality...much appreciated by all, I'm sure A suggestion......would Richard object if we were to bring some of our own Listening and Viewing Material?? If he was ok with that, we could then start a different thread for those attending, who could "vote" on or whittle down the selections to a manageable few Let me start the ball rolling with ** A few agreed upon CD's which have the greatest cross-section appeal to those attending ** A few High Res 24/96 Discs from different Genres ** A few Bluray discs, which again would have the greatest familiarity across the board These Selections would be in addition to any Selections from Richard or Meridian Obviously, I feel that us listening / watching Material that we have some familiarity with on our own systems would be of benefit to everybody.........and may even help with the Credit Card Extraction Process

Hi Ronnie, that's a great idea. Am sure Richard will be happy for that.
Maybe a few selected HD/hi-res music tracks from a memory stick to upload into a Sooloos core could be interesting.

Hi Nick I agree on the Memory Card into the Sooloos idea, and I have to admit I did have it in mind already, but I just wanted the agreement in principle to be in place first There may be some "concerns" about corrupting the Sooloos content with "source unknown" files......or "virus transfer"........or also possible objections due to the time required to Re-Tag the Files on Import Discs get around all of the above.....and if they are also willing on the File Import approach, I'm sure we can come up with something very viable....and very quickly

Agree. Some downloaded HD content is what I had in mind though as that would be good to see handled properly. Let's do both and see where we get to.
