I've read Engadget's "predictions" / insider info for the iPad2, iPhone 5 and Apple TV-2 improved........

However, compare the following before expecting Bluray Video and Audio Quality from Apple and the TV-2

TOTAL BITRATE
Apple TV.............4,200kbps approx
Bluray................40,000kbps

AUDIO BITRATE
Apple TV..............384kbps
Bluray................4,600 to 6,500kbps

MOVIE SIZE
Apple TV...........4Gb max for a two hour movie
Bluray................40-50Gb for a two hour movie

So, whatever about changing the specs on the Apple TV, delivering those 10x Bitrates and Movie Sizes down today's Broadband Pipes will be very, very difficult.........even in those areas with Fibre based delivery mechanisms
