The AC200 guide is interesting. There is no configuration in the classic Meridian sense, just plug and play. If you select Tuners from the web-site product type drop-down it now brings up an AC200 option but the manual doesn't mention an on-board tuner. It doesnt seem to have an airiel or airiel socket, which is a shame. The new 562 they say. Cheers Chris
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

It's a shame it doesn't have a bigger hard drive option or the ability to add hard drives. 500G isn't that big by today's standards.

I'm sure someone will get chance to ask about that. Most would agree that for a mini system of lossless and hi-res files that 1TB would seem more like the minimum spec.

I spent some time in the M booth at CES today. Said Hello to Bob Stuart but did not talk with him (Hey I'm just name dropping). I did spend some time with Ken Forsythe, Director of Product Placement, Meridian America. Ken is a very nice man and while I have talked to him on the phone before this was the first time I have talked to him in person.
My first question was regarding a thread from the end of last year with a bunch pictures of boards in the v6 and the thought that there was very little difference between the v4 and v6. Ken's reply was that there was only one board in common between the v6 and v4 and that was the one that connected to the computer. He said "To the untrained eye they may look the same but if you look closely they are all different" He explained at length that the differences between the v6 and v4 were too numerous and too great to be able to do a physical upgrade. The dates and Bob's intials are on each board. Ken suggested that if someone looked they would easily spot this.
On the occassions that I have spoken with Ken I have found him to have been well informed, honest and direct. I have some freinds that know him and say he is a man of integrity. I have no reason to disbelieve anything that he said. On the other hand I may disagree with him from time to time as you can read in my next post.
Regards, Gary

Please ask about the MC600 which was named inside the recently released Sooloos firmware. (As it has a "C" it should be a core. As it is a 600 it may match the MS600.)

Sorry, Ken showed me the MC600 and in the same breath was talking about more affordable solutions at that momment a phone call came in from my office. I'll take another look tomorrow and post something if no one else does first. Regards, Gary

While talking to Ken Forsythe(Meridian USA), I mentioned that our European users were suffering because everything needed to pass through the dealer and access to M directly was rare. Ken explained the M position and said America would be heading in that direction soon. Ouch, double ouch.

Maybe print out and put the ML letter into his hands. It's more a gesture than anything else of course...
Please get the MC600 details if you can.

Please get the MC600 details if you can. I haven't dropped in on Martin Logan yet to thank them for making their loyal customers happy. Maybe I should drag one of them up to M for a debate. I'll go back and pay attention on the MC600 and see what I can find out. I wandered into Lamm Industries and they were set up very well. They had a pair of Wilson Alexandria X2's ($133,000) connected to about $350,000 of fine equipment. They had some very good quality source material so I sat in the sweet spot and could not move for almost 2 hours. Then I wandered down to TAD where Andrew Jones had the TAD reference speakers set up nicely and another hour plus was taken up. I have some of Andrews stuff in my Los Angeles system. Jonathan Valen was in the TAD room working toward his upcoming TAD review. Biggest disappointment so far for me was Magico. So many things wrong with their setup and source material, very disappointing. Regards, Gary

The price range for the new products would be interrsting to know.
Also, on a more technical note, has the lower cut-off frequency for the wideband speaker on the 3200 been disclosed ?
